The last straw - I had to blog.

Ok, so here it is...my first ever blog.

After weeks of pressure from a certain jaded ranter, my dinner tonight made me realize that a blog could wait no longer. I must inform the people of Boston of what I have found.

Imagine Anna's, but not owned by an Asian guy, and a whole lot closer to Mexico. I couldn't really, until I went to Freebirds. It tastes better, unsurprisingly, and for those who want quantity (which is most people when talking about Anna's), this place is absurd. Their largest size, the "Super Monster" I've only heard described as an extra-large pizza rolled into a burrito. The guy I was with has lived around the corner from the place for years, and has only seen one ordered. Ever. For perspective, I eat the "1/2 bird", which is the smallest, and comes before the "Freebird", the "Monster" and of course the "Super Monster". I hereby throw down the glove to Goodwin... Yeah, that's right. Stephen, even with your while-full food stuffing ability, I doubt you can even tackle a Monster. Maybe Rich could pull it off though...Hmmm.

Let's see, what else is going on... Oh, I hate Braden Looper. Just figured I'd throw it out there. I'm guessing I'll be saying that a lot in this space. I hate him almost as much as I hate the Braves, who swept the Mets for the n'th time in the last decade, where n is a number I'm too disgusted to look up.

Oh, and the job's going well - project not defined yet, but got my first little mini assignment today finally.

And I bought my first real new furniture over the weekend. Check this out:

No, that's not my apartment - it's from a catalog, but that's pretty close to exactly what I got. I'm pretty excited about it. And my extracirricular project for the next few months will be my home bar. I'm thinking this one for the bar itself:

My place will be pimp. I will be happy. Ok, so furniture shopping has become a new hobby of mine, and I spend hours in these stores. Now if it weren't so damn expensive... But now I have something that makes me want to work hard enough to get promotions and raises. Either I furniture shop or take pride in my work... Still working on that last one - years of apathy to shake off.

Ok, done for now. Gotta go set up my cable, since UPS finally inspected my TV they chucked down six flights of stairs...*sigh*. I'll probably blog about that soon.
